With most schools letting out for summer next month, it’s a good time for parents to begin thinking about some healthy treats they can prepare for their kids. Market Basket has come up with a few that you can try out!
Frozen Grapes
For this healthy snack, all you need are some fresh, plump grapes. Rinse them off and pop them into the freezer for an icy cold treat without all of the preservatives.
Freezer Fruit Pops
Peel and purèe some fresh peaches, strawberries, or any other of your favorite fruits. Pour the mixture into an ice tray or something equivalent and freeze overnight with popsicle sticks for a healthy and light summertime treat.
Fruit Juice or Kool-Aid Popsicles
Items Needed:
You’ll need small paper cups, your favorite fruit juice or Kool-Aid, popsicle sticks, and plastic wrap.
Instructions:
Pour your favorite fruit juice or Kool-Aid into the cups and cover with plastic wrap. Stick a popsicle stick through the center of the plastic wrap to keep the stick straight. Freeze overnight. Remove from freezer and let sit for a couple of minutes and remove from cups and serve them up with a smile! Let them keep the cups to catch all the drips and minimize the mess!
