A Non-Toxic Way To Clean Your Oven

It is important to avoid using toxic cleaning agents when cleaning your oven, as you don’t want to risk tainting your food while it cooks. Here are some step-by-step instructions for cleaning your oven the natural way:

Supplies:

  • 2 C Baking Soda
  • ½ C White Vinegar
  • ½ C Liquid Dish Soap
  • Sponge
  • Large Paintbrush
  • Rubber Gloves (optional)

Steps:

  1. Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix. Then, slowly pour in water and stir until a paste is formed.
  2. Remove your oven racks.
  3. Using a paintbrush, paint the paste over the entire inside of the oven. Close the door and allow paste to sit for about 8 hours.
  4. Wipe the paste off with a damp sponge. Keep a large bowl full of water handy so you can keep your sponge dump. For tougher spots. try using a wire brush.
