Many meat choices for grilling can be high in fat and calories, and won’t help trim waistlines. But they don’t have to be; here are some tips for lean grilling: 1) Start with portion control; higher calorie cuts of meat should be served in smaller portions. 2) Eliminate as much fat as possible by trimming fat from meats and removing the skin before eating. 3) Loin red meats, such as pork loin, or beef sirloin are lean cuts of meat. 4) Ground sirloin or ground turkey breast are lean meats for burgers. Don’t forget to marinade meat to help tenderize lean cuts!
